Fun Things To Do In Las Vegas, NV

There is so much to see and do in Las Vegas! Planning your agenda will help you make the most out of your vacation. It is so much more than just a place to gamble! There are options for adults only as well as those the entire family can enjoy. 

1. Thrill Rides

If you enjoy thrill rides, Las Vegas is the place to be! New York New York has an amazing rollercoaster. You can ride it regularly or you can upgrade to the 3-D reality option with additional equipment. If you enjoyed it, immediately get in the line for a re-ride at a discounted price!


The Stratosphere has several thrill rides at the top. Not only are they exciting, you get a spectacular view that is hard to beat! Skydiving off the side of the Stratosphere may be on your bucket list! Circus Circus has a variety of rides to enjoy under the big red neon tent! 

2. Get Romantic

For couples, Las Vegas offers some romantic touches. A gondola ride at the Venetian is an unforgettable experience. Paris has an observation deck, allowing you to see the beauty of the strip. Since it is centrally located, you tend to get a better view than from the observation area at the Stratosphere.


The Linq offers the High Roller, similar to a Ferris wheel. It moves slow and gives a wonderful view of the strip as your pod moves. Some of them offer a bartender with unlimited drinks if you opt for that additional package.

3. Fun For The Whole Family

It is possible to explore Las Vegas as a family and find fun places to visit. An escape room is a good choice for children 6 and older. The family will work together as a team to find clues and escape before time is up. Most of them last for an hour and there are different levels of difficulty offered.


Mandalay Bay is home to the Shark Reef. It takes a couple of hours to explore, but you walk through it at your own pace. The open shark area is a wonderful place to observe these unique creatures. The open floor allows them to swim above you, around, you and under you!


The Mirage offers the Secret Garden where dolphins freely swim around. You can observe them above the water or in the underground area. Trainers often interact with them and it is exciting to see them perform various tricks throughout the day. This is also where the tigers that once belonged to Siegfried and Roy are located. 


The wax museum at the Venetian is interactive! You will find various celebrities including actors, musicians, and athletes. You can take photos with these wax figures that look very realistic. 

4. Visit One of the Many Museums in Las Vegas, NV

There is no shortage of wonderful museums around the Las Vegas area. The Mob Museum is located downtown. It features plenty of history about the mob and their connections to the Las Vegas area. The Car Museum is not far from the strip, and features vehicles from various movies and cartoons. 


The Shelby Museum is interesting, and a great way to learn about the history of the Shelby Mustang. There is much more to that story that many people know!

 

The pinball museum is one of the newer attractions on the Las Vegas strip, and worth checking out. The place includes many of the older pinball machines to play so have your quarters ready!

5. Explore!

Not far from the busy streets of Las Vegas, there are beautiful places to explore. One of them is Valley of Fire. There is plenty of history here and worth a stop at the visitor center to get a book or two on the area. Trails are marked if you wish to hike or you can drive them and take in the lovely views and formations.


The West Rim of the Grand Canyon is only a few hours away. You can drive your vehicle or get a seat on a tour bus. This is the location with the walkout observation deck. If you are pressed for time, consider a helicopter ride from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon!


Lake Mead and Hoover Dam are also nice areas around the Las Vegas area to get out and explore. There are a few daily tours offered at Hoover Dam to get an inside look at how it operates. Lake Mead also offers a lunch and dinner cruise for a relaxing way to take in the scenery.

Getting Great Deals

Once you know what you wish to do in Las Vegas, look for the best deals. There are great discounts and offers available, saving you plenty of money. Many of the things to visit such as the famous Las Vegas sign or the lovely Bellagio fountains are free. It is best to book your tickets in advance for shows and attractions so they aren't sold out when you arrive.
